I have stated before that I'm totally illiterate when it comes to using PS & this colour selection work kind of proves that, but as I was raised to 'ave a go ' & have a go I did.
I took the photo using the B & W option on my camera, & another in colour, selected, copied & pasted the red berry then did a not so good job of cleaning up the edges. Decided to use smart blur & took that option. Most likely the wrong choice !!

as there are lots of little frogs & caterpillars around at the moment I have added them here

Great use of selective coloring. I love the red berry.

I like the effect, berry good :-)

I like it. Don't think you did badly at all! Good idea to make the berry spring up.

I think you did a fine job here. I would have layered the berry and desaturated the background. But you did just fine Elaine

Well, Laine, there's a lot easier way to do it in Photoshop. Even in Elements. But your efforts paid off with a nice image none the less!

This is very good. Photo Shop is not easy for people who have great technological skills (I surely don't) so you did well.

Nice, it really makes the berry standout!

You're braver than me with PS. It could be a good project for the long hot summer days. Your attempt looks a pretty good try to me.

Laine this is really very good! There is an easier way to do it in PS
just using the color image. But this looks great to me.

You don't need the red for this image to work.
It takes a lot of practice to master PS.
