My favourite tree grows at the gate that enters what is known as Big Paddock.
We were out there yesterday while the boys did a controlled burn of acres of dry grass.
I have a photo of a Bandicoot I managed to capture as he ran from his long grass hideout if you would like to see him over on September Others. http://www.pbase.com/laine82/image/33742660

Lovely image... Has all the rain stopped and a summer of drought awaits?

And it's only the start of spring! Like the bandicoot pic - looks like a
giant shrew.

A great old tree - could be all of 300 years of age. Has dropped a few limbs over
the years, just like one of our favourites has. Wouldn't it be good if trees could
talk!

Impressive tree. I wonder how old it is.

Nice shot. I think today must be tree day :-). If I had only known.

Ha, another Aussie photographer! Wonderful image of our countryside. Rather dry at the moment, yes! Nice colours here - well done!
