This lovely old hotel was established in 1922 but sadly Covid and border closures meant that where I'm standing in Queensland people were unable to cross to it in NSW...it is now permanently closed. behind me on the Queensland side the old Wallangara hotel that bears the sign the first pub in Qld and of course the last from the other side is also closed. I'm sure the beautiful railway station museum also struggled. With a population of under 500 I think it has been tough on everyone down there.
