Pretty shot of your luncheon companion. I'm envious. Years ago, peacocks used to free roam our city zoo and were always guests at lunch for zoo visitors. That was so nice. Then, some nasty kids started to literally hit and kick and punch and pull the tail feathers of the peacocks. Eventually, one of those kids got bitten by a poor abused bird that didn't run away like the others did. After that, the peacocks got permanently caged and are now totally away from people. You are lucky to be able to have these beautiful birds to watch while you dine at this restaurant. I remember how relaxing that used to be.

Beautiful... but soooooooooo noisy. They were used as 'watch dogs' on a lot of the Southern plantations.
