Oh what a splendid, magical tree! I read that many of the ancient Yews in British Churchyards were originally part of the pagan religious sites, as they represent reincarnation and they protect the soul on its journey to the next life. When Christianity sprouted in the Isles, the Pope ordered the old Pagan sites converted to Christian churches. V
