The red bus is an authentic London one - the city was full of them in the fifties and sixties and they eventually went in 1978. Such buses are in much demand, a company imported about a dozen like this from Canada recently - a money spinner for weddings and the like.
Off to Hogwarts, are we? Lovely London street scene, Laine, although it seems remarkably uncongested compared to my visit there. Love the red bus. It appears to have some age to it and is a charming subject. Wonderful setting. Vote.
This is very organized shot Laine light post and buildings plumb . Nice viewer entrance due to a nice composition, Abundant resolution and pleasant light. Bet these buses stay busy . Vote
The Wartime London Tour sounds interesting. I can't imagine that a bus of that "maturity" would be kept on for commuters. The maintenance costs would be horrendous. It makes an attractive splash of colour here though.
I never seen the blue before ; A great capture of the color and the old with the new bus together. Sharp and with superb composition, Laine. VVV PS. We have the blue colored bus here in HK but in ugly golden color ! The red one could not fiund running on the street now.
