It was interesting to read yesterday that most of us agree on education.
Reading was important learning. Spelling correctly was as important as pronouncing it how it should be...
My love of the written word remains as strong now as it did from the moment I learned from my John and Betty ~ Dick and Dora readers

The lyrics are rather complicated, like my first book for English lessons at school (LOL). A very nice find.

I can remember the first full book I was able to read unaided. Barbar the elephant. Lost long ago, but never forgotten.

We have probably moved on from Dick and Dora but facing a screen all day cannot possibly be the answer!
