walk a mile....

A lot of pacing has been done since January 1st this year ( 279 days )
As you know our infant granddaughter was diagnosed with Accute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia
on that day. There were steps forward, steps that faltered and some went backwards...
but I am happy to report that as of yesterday the fungus which had developed on her lungs and brain
has all but cleared.

Her Lumbar Puncture this week brought only positive results...she has 1 more to go, that will be done in 7 weeks, then in January the portacath near her chest will be surgically removed.

Oral chemotherapy will continue until 3rd January 2012.

OUR BABY GIRL IS ON THE ROAD TO COMPLETE WELLNESS!!!

I will always be grateful to the wonderful support of so many of you here on pbase...it's kept me going!!

The background of this image looks like one of those old-fashioned globes. I am sure those shoes have traversed more than a few miles! Congratulations on the good news.

excellent and insightful image to visualize the terrible worry you must have been feeling for so long...it sounds as though the outcome is very positive, which clearly is reason for joy...V
