Interesting with the distortion from the glass. I just took a couple of these. We'll see if I got any interesting results.

I agree with Phillip, that's about all I would use them for.
However I like my eggs fried in olive oil.

Nice plump looking olives too! They grow like weeds down here.

I love olives even the black ones. :)
Beautiful and now I wish I had some in the fridge.
Cindi Smith13-Sep-2009 02:47
Not a big olive fan, myself, unless they are chopped up and in a stew or something. But, always have some on hand in case of company!

Such a venerable and venerated food, Olives.

"The Olive was a native to Asia Minor and spread from Iran, Syria and Palestine to the rest of the Mediterranean basin 6,000 years ago. It is among the oldest known cultivated trees in the world - being grown before the written language was invented." (source History of Olives)

Makes you wonder what they used to put on the labels of their bottles of Olives! :o)

Great food shot. Olives and a nice piece of Brie, and a glass of wine, and some nice crackers....... It has been raining for three days and I cannot stop eating.

LOL very appetising shot... we try not to have olives in the house - too moreish. ;-)
Eckhart Derschmidt12-Sep-2009 19:00
Yes, a cup of olives has always to be in the fridge. Does not take much more than garlick, anchovies, chili and olives to make a quick and tasty pasta (and some parsley to put on top)...
Nice capture!
Johnny JAG12-Sep-2009 18:53
Nice colour.
Máire Uí Mhaicín12-Sep-2009 18:42
LOL @ Phillip. I'd add a glass of crisp white wine too...:) Lovely shot, with a very true rendering of the olive green tones.

We always have them in stock too for a snack or salad. Looks like they're resting peacefully. :)
