Silver-tip Grizzly

"Don't shoot until you see the whites of their eyes"

This big silver tip Grizzly was feeding on wild flowers in Banff National Park just off the road.

There is concern over the decline of the grizzly in Banff and they ask all sightings to be reported, this bear has been tagged with a radio ear antenna but the rangers were glad to know where we sighted him....what a thrill to see and photograph this magnificent animal, now rarely seen in this once prolific habitat.

Many thanks for all the good wishes, much better today and hope to start my new gallery this week. just could not resist posting this big guy....
