Limerick & District Photographic Society (LADPS) is comprised of adults of all ages with an interest in photography and a wish to improve their photographic skills.
Have a look at our galleries if you'd like to get an idea about the type of work our members do.
We offer members the benefit of guest lectures, from national & international experts, covering a broad range of photographic topics.
We also organise day trips to scenic locations all over Ireland and studio shoots, including modelling, still-life and audio-visual.
We meet on Wednesday evenings from 8 to 10 pm, on the last two weeks of the month, from September through to May.
We meet at the Community Centre, Ballycummin Road, Raheen, Limerick
Our next meeting is on 20-May-2015
We welcome newcomers and have a dedicated newcomer competition every year.
We run monthly competitions in the formats of Black & White Print, Colour Print, Colour Projected Image and Special Challenge (Projected Image).
Each monthly competition winner goes through to our end of year competition where we have guest judges and good prizes.
We also run individual competitions throughout the year within the club and aim to enter inter-club, provincial and national competitions where we have done well in the past.
We are affiliated to the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) and the Southern Association of Camera Clubs (SACC).
Please contact us to find out more or just come along to one of our nights.
