Taking a break from paddleboarding across Lakes Bay, NJ.
This leg, from a building at the middle right on the horizon, was about a quarter the way around the main water in Lakes Bay.
Access to the perimeter of the bay is subject to tides.
The salt marshes at the perimeter are home to many bird species, turtles, crabs, and a few remnants of docks from one or two hundred years ago.
The paddleboard is a Fanatic Ray Light (12'6"" x 29.5") touring model, equipped with a long custom fin for heading lateral to the wind.
