Animals seen on game drives in Chobe National Park, Kwando Private Game Reserve, and Kwando Pom Pom Camp in the Okavango Delta. The animals are all in the wild; we were just observers. Our guide and tracker would follow tracks into the bush and wide open spaces while we sat in the back of a Toyota Land cruiser. No doors or windows between you and the animals. We would find a scene with animals, park, and observe them for 20 minutes to an hour. The guide would tell us about the animals and the geography- they were very knowledgeable. We had 9 days of game drives. Up at 6 AM for a game drive that started before dawn. Back after 4-5 hrs for lunch and a nap for those who were not downloading pictures and recharging batteries. Then another 4 hour game drive in the late afternoon and into the evening. Followed by dinner and more downloading and recharging. Next day, start over.
Hi Ken. Terrific photos of a broad range of animals and landscapes. I especially like the ones that include early morning and/or evening sun, which suggest how humans might have felt living in these timeless areas.
