I tried to visualize how it was made.
1. Start with a ball and with percision bore "cones" into a number of times. Do so just shy of the very center.
2. Carve smaller diameter cone shaped bores over and over
3. Carefully then free layers of 23 spheres by using perpendicular carving
4. Give yourself 10 years or so and you can finish it.
