I've discovered an alternative use for the new shake reduction function in Photoshop Elements version 14.

In this photo sunlight was limited but these ducks fly fast, fast enough that at this shutter speed there is a slight motion blur. Since the blur is in one direction it simulates camera shake. By selecting just the duck and adjusting the shake reduction settings I was able to get a significant sharpening in the duck.
