My first test shot of a brick wall - I understand this
type of photo is obligatory in order to validate the guarantee.

My eyesight has improved since my last viewing. The thing that I thought was a rod is a hole (former air bubble?). The light-colored material at top must be concrete or stucco or something similar. The narrow depth of field is stark. I like it.

As for the guarantee, there are no guarantees. I guarantee that Cooper will confirm it.

Hi Dave, you are absolutely correct as usual.

My computer has been unwell these past 2 weeks :o(
which led to me venturing out into the open air...
and so I took a few test shots around the garden.
I think I am going to like this lens!

Captivating image, Julian. My guess is that the top portion is concrete that has been laid on dirt. The bottom portion is dirt. The dark brown thing (which was difficult to identify) at the bottom is a metal rod that sticks out of the ground toward the camera. If I'm wrong, this image represents something too horrible to contemplate.
