The walls of the fort and the king's throne at Sacsayhuaman

There were three levels of walls. The biggest rocks were used for the lowest level, and the smallest for the highest. The walls have a zigzag shape, like lightning bolts. There is an overlook of the the city of Cusco within the fort. You can make it out in the picture. The King's throne is in the foreground. He could take in the events that were going on in the open space in front of him from his throne. This open space is still used for local events today.
