Approaching the Knobley tunnel from the West Virginia side

Part of the Carpendale Rail trail. This railroad line was a bypass of Cumberland and was in used until about 1990. The trail starts from the C&O Canal in Maryland near mile 183, crosses the Potomac, and then tunnels through a ridge on the West Virginia side.
