We get our first view of the parking lot that we started from. It gives us an idea of the distance and height we have covered and gives us a sense of satisfaction! It seems that we are at an elevation that is higher than Mt. Cannon, which is to the right of the picture on the other side of the Franconia Notch. We continued to get views of the parking lot and Mt. Cannon from other sections as we hikee towards Mt. Lafayette.
