The birds were kicking up a racket in the lake. We thought they were ducks, but could not sight them.

Greenleaf hut is operated by the Appalachian Mountain Club and supports through hikers on the Appalachian trail. It is located at the base of Mt. Lafayette, high above the base of Franconia Notch.
