USS Midway: Troop 90 Overnight Tour

Nearly 60 Troop 90 Boy Scouts and adult leaders enjoyed an overnight stay and tour of the now decommissioned USS Midway, eating mess food, and sleeping in sailor bunks. The tours were led by retired volunteer Naval sailors and officers, many who served on board the ship.

Hi Dr Swanson:
These photos are wonderful. Makes me feel like I was there. The sequencing told a wonderful story of the trip. I especially liked "Night Flight Deck from Control Room," "Anchor Chains," "Deadly Force,", "A7 on Catapult," and "Flight Deck with USS Reagan in Harbor." The black and white series in the middle of the series was also a nice change up and added interest (I'm a big black and white fan). And, I must say I liked the photos from the big wait at the Mexican restaurant . . . really nice lighting and personal interaction shown. Oh, and I loved your captions . . . those also really help with the story telling. Helps us who weren't there with a sense of timing.

I'm looking at your series while I'm at work and they really pulled me in. Now, back to work!
