My husband and I were born and raised in wv and have lived in Roanoke, VA for 30 years. We go back to Pipestem every chance we get. We love to rent the cottages because we have a "fur baby" and we take her everywhere with us. The cottages are breathtaking with cozy fire places and such comfortable clean beds. We always stay on a Friday night because they have the seafood buffet at the lodge and it is #1..........

I am heading to Pipestem with another family and after looking at these breath-taking photos, I am even more excited. Thank you and maybe I will get some good pics when I go.

I live in North Carolina and visited West Virginia on a fishing trip. When we came to Pipestem we stopped in to have a look. Luckily i was there in the fall when all the leaves were changing color. The trees around the lake were filled with many colors. Now I am trying to get my family to stay in Pipestem for our vacation. SWEET!!

Come to Pipestem the last weekend of April 2008 and try Irish Road Bowling. Will be the 2nd Annual Tournment. It's open to all the family and begineers or never done that before's are welcomed to join in. Some come play in the road at Pipestem State Park not only seeing the beauty of the park but getting some fun excersie while you do it.

Also during the off season check the website Pipestem Website for Irish Roadbowling as an actitivy during the week.

I live in Hinton which is very close to Pipestem. I've been there many a time and even have family members that work there, but I have never saw the beauty and glam from it as I have here today looking at the photos. Some of the places on the photos i've never seen or been to. Just when I had thought that there was no more places for me to see in my little county. Now I will go and check it out. COOL

I've been to Pipestem and it is so cool! It's absolutely gorgeous...the Tram was fun. Anyways, nice pics. :)

I have been to Pipestem many,many times; it is a beautiful place. Where did you take the photo of Stairstep falls? Not familiar with this place....
