We had the smae problem at Tahquamenon Falls in Michigan's UP this year. Certainly makes for a great picture, though.

Beautiful scene. No sound of motors anywhere near there I am sure.
I no longer worry about the earth surviving the ravishes of humankind. However, I do wonder if humankind can survive the power of the earth as it unleashes droughts, lightening storms, floods, and quakes in the process of cleansing itself to restore a natural balance.

Lovely shot, the water is so silky.

There is something quite majestic about the apparent slow and unhurried movement of water over these falls. Quite lovely.

Beautiful waterfall and capture. Hopefully the Winter will bring rushing waters back.

Magnificent composition of this monolithic waterfall, Karen. Very well exposed for the textures and flowing water. Our creeks are dry, too. The mountains are still lush and green because of the humidity but the waterfalls are but trickles, just like this one. V
Best to you,
Dick:)

Beautiful shot and so true. V
Man is not kind to the natural environment . So many only think of there own perceived pleasure.

Fabulous capture Karen. As for our impact on the environment... It has always been thus. The Pink Lady Slipper I believe is an import from France--as is Kentucky Bluegrass. (And nearly every other grass we plant in our lawns.) The dandelion is also an import, as is crabgrass. My understanding is that the Cree word for poison ivy translates as "White man's foot" as it tended to sprout along paths used by Europeans. (Probably due to its seeds being carried in the guts of horses...) At least we're more and more aware of our impact on the land...
