Wow, this is lovely, Karen. The colour of the blossoms against the faded wood, the beauty of the old house, make an image that is a pleasure to view. V

The cheery azaleas give this "once someone's home" house a sense of place.

Great color in this picture. Nice contrast against the weather worn house.

A super beautiful shot Karen. Love that old house. V

Terrific find Karen. Like too how the azaleas are the only thing in full blossom. The lack of tree shadow really makes the house look very beaten and weathered.

voted. Great comp.textures and framing.
(That Azalea would be worth a small fortune here, the only ones we grow are pink, white, red or purple.)

I think Dave summed it up best...a bitter-sweet look at what was once a home with a family & a lot of stories to tell. The azaleas are wonderful. Grab some tips & poke them together in a pot & before long you have the same !!

What a wonderful shot Karen, this old place has so much character and the colors are starting to come to life once again. Very nice find.

I don't know how you keep finding these "diamonds in the rough". This is great. Is this in Bluefield.

azalea season, how colorful they are. Must be warming up a little up there.

At one time this was home to laugther and tears; and all that lies in between.
Great bitter-sweet shot of the past.

Beautiful colors Karen. The house does make you want to know about it, how old it is, why was it abandoned and if it can be restored. GMV

I always wonder what kind of stuff may have been left behind in old places like this.

It's the weathered house that gets my attention. You sure seem to have a lot of places like this in W.Va. Any people?
Guest 15-Apr-2006 11:45
Excellent image. Beautiful reds and greys.
Guest 15-Apr-2006 11:27
I thought that the azaleas were more purple than that. I am learning everyday in your galleries. Nice colors, and nice find.
