Old Sign

Don't see many of these any more. Not the greatest quality but it was shot at full zoom from atop a ridge.

So interesting. Wonder if the neighbors complained about 'advertising' back in the day. I love these old barns/signs.

That is an old sign! I haven't seen one for many years!

I just love that old Texaco sign. You are right - not many around any more and I'm glad you're around and about with your camera to capture them Karen before they are all gone!

Great barn and classic old sign. Great shot.

"the great big Texaco star" is the end of the jingle, I think. Nice barn, the fence looks awfully close to it.

A great shot of a beautiful barn........it is sad to see fewer of these barns with each passing year.......

I wondered about the roof too,, maybe cows do fly?
Nice shot Karen, I like how the building's color red fades into the ground.

terrific shot.

I agree, it's a great photo. Wonder what dented the roof in, lol?

I still remember their advertisements:
"You can trust your car to the man who wears the star..."
Who can finish the jingle?
I see a lot of detail in your full zoom, Karen, hinges, rafters
and where something impacted the roof.
Nice shot.

Neat find. The barns around here are also dissappearing also. So sad to see them go.

That old Texaco star is a good find.
Breland28-Nov-2005 12:40
I agree you don't see them much anymore, but still clear enough for a max zoom shot to see it has lots of doors Karen.
