The end of summer's here?!? Wait! I don't remember summer going by that quickly. The non-stop heat we've been having must've addled my brains. Beautiful shot, though.

This is such a chipper, cheerful image!
(Summer isn't over until there is snow on the ground!!!)

Don't say it. Don't say it. Don't say it.
Pretend that it's an easter lily or something :)

Besides Queen Anne's Lace, this is my other favorite roadside photo... and I'v not done the trek yet...
BTW, summer isn't over....you're way more south than me at the moment and there's lots of summer left.

Try to see things like that:
"In the depths of winter I finally learned there was in me an invincible summer"

"All things bright and beautiful". Well done, Karen, and I like the little white bouquet added in. Very sharp, I even see a small fly besides the moth or butterfly.

Summer not over here yet, we still have over two mothes before it will cool off. Beautiful shot.

As beautiful as ever. While you bemoan the loss of Summer, I dread the thought, especially since we have had a gloriously warm winter.

I have some childhood association with these flowers - don't remember why exactly - but I like them.
