You are a good friend to a lot of people Karen. These shots are lovely

Love the last photo, there's something about the smile of older people you can't help enjoy.

Very nice photo. It's nice to see that their hard work for years has paid off and they have a comfortable old age.

Someone said that it takes courage to grow old and I see that more and more with my own aging parents (in their latter 80s). Touching sequence and such a heartfelt tribute and story.

Very nice portrait of this eldery couple. Your story shows how much you care for them.

They're all powerful images, but I like the last one best. Nice to see a smile, though looks forced through the pain.

I love your people stories. You really have a gift a way with words that makes me feel I understand more about the people and you photograph people as they are, not all airbrushed, photoshopped and glammed up. That takes much more honest talent than some of the fluff I myself do. Keep it up, Karen

Well done, Karen. I am sure you can bring a smile to many of the elderly you are near every day--you have that knack. God bless.

I always like the way you capture not only images of people but their spirit as well. You have a knack for it.
