I love ramps and am upset because the season is about over. But I found more this year than ever before and they were excellent. Not too many folks know about them but I am trying to spread the word. This photo is wonderful -- you really captured an essence here.

I think you've captured his essential nature, Karen. I like the way he's not looking into the camera, as if he's shunning modern life. The weathered siding makes a perfect background.

AWESOME Karen. One of your very best. The old weathered, chipping clapboard, the reflective look of the Possum man, even the hinges in the door. He is fortunate (as are you) to share company. Awesome awesome work.

I'll just trust you on the taste thing!
He obviously enjoys having his picture taken. Does he know he's famous across the globe?

Each shot of this fellow with your commentary brings a vivid picture of Appalachian life. I like this image, the pose, of him recalling another memory. This series is very well done.

I love that you have introduced us to 'Possum Man'. He hearkens to a time long past and it is wonderful that there are still such folk around.
