What a Difference a Day Makes

West Virginia

The snow melted. Of course, it is now snowing again.

As a side note, I have been searching for the location of the county farm/poorhouse. I'm going on information from a 96 year old lady whose father ran it so it's a real challenge to get information.

I believe this farm may be it. I have to talk to the owners. If it is, then I hope to get permission to explore the property. There will be a graveyard somewhere on it.

Good luck with your poorhouse quest. (If you ever get to the cemetery at Franklin, W. Va.,say hello to my ancestors!)

Make sure they wipe their shoes before coming in...
Let us know the results of the poorhouse search. That could be interesting.

This is so picturesque. The horse as the focal point does not detract from the red building in back.

It's good to see the horses with so much grazing room. Up here they are all kept in stalls with feed buckets.
