Decay

West Virginia

First there was grass and plants then there were buildings and now it looks like the transition is reversing itself.

For the September challenge - Transitions. Other transitions can be seen here.

I love the look of old brick. And I love to see nature taking over too! V

This sounds like the The Earth on Turtle's Back (Onondaga) story
a great story on how mankind destroys the earth

Nature will always ultimately win this battle.

A fabulous shot of the hint of green growing in the cracks. Nice textures of the decaying bricks, as well. V

Interesting brick work...older and newer... it would be hard not to mix some cement and add to it...

Yeah, the earth will take over if not kept up....just the way it is. Love the textures and composition!

I like the transition between the two ages of brick here too. The texture in the decaying brick contrasts with the struggling little plant that found a spot to grow. Love the shaft of light here too. V
