My first hike to Brushy Falls and the Nature Conservancy Preserve to look for wildflowers and migrating birds. There are many rare plants and this is a stop for the birds migrating south.
The trillium were just starting to bud and I could hear the warblers but they were high in the trees on top the mountain. With all the camera gear, I didn't bring binoculars. :(
The creek and falls were at spring flood stage so it was a wet but exhilarating hike.
