Make your travel plans now. After a week of cool nights, the colors are popping. I had my doubts after the dry hot summer that this would be a spectacular fall but it's turning out to be.

I would say peak is only about a week away. I hope to get more photos then but you can never count on the weather.

These are taken in Mercer County in the southern most part of West Virginia.

Update - 10/14/2010.

A big storm came through with high winds so I rushed out to get the last photos from the season. We weren't quite at peak yet. Mother Nature doesn't care about photography. :)
