KAPPIL IS A SMALL STRIP OF LAND SURROUNDED BY BACK WATERS ON THE 3 SIDES AND BY THE ARABIAN SEA ON THE WEST. YOU HAVE TO SAY ITS A PLACE BLESSED WITH GOD'S MAGICAL TOUCH. THE PLACE HAVE ONE OF THE MOST BEUTIFUL OF THE BEACHES IN KERALA, WHERE A SMALL STRIP OF LAND SEPARATES THE ARABIAN SEA AND THE KAPPIL LAKE. SO THAT YOU COULD EXPERIENCE THE FEELING OF WALKING BETWEEN THE SEA AND THE LAKE. AND THE GREENERY AROUND THE LAKE IS JUST MIND BLOWING. there is a new a/c house boat launched in kappil lake.which is fantastic even though the management not proffessional, staff hospitality is exelent and local foods very tasty.

It is a very beautiful place in edava panchayath and end of Trivandrum Dist. it is border sharing with Kollam Dist.The sight between Arabin sea and Edava nadayara Kayil is very memmerable.........pls visit once here

From Trivandrum, you can get a Taxi and just need to tell them to drop near the Kappil Temple. From there it's just nearby the beach which is across the bridge.

Kappil is near Varkala. You can take a bus/taxi from Varkala. You can go by rail but all trains do not stop there.
