Lake Hodges Open Space - An Urban Island Park

The Lake Hodges/San Pasqual Valley Open Space is serves as a major core resource area of the Multiple Species Conservation Program (MSCP) preserve system. This area is a mecca for birders and the like to come and enjoy a day in the wilderness in the heart of North San Diego County.

This area was severely scared by the recent October wild fires, some of these images show the magical power of natures healing powers as wild flowers cover what was once badly burnt hillsides.

Great collection of birds Mark. I was out at Hodges shooting the dancing Grebes in January and was surprised when a juvenile Bald Eagle flew directly overhead, I managed to get a shot of him!!
