Stayed at the Kingfisher Park Lodge, Julatten (managed by Keith n Lindsay Fisher).
Met up with birding guide Carol Iles who showed us around Mt Molloy, Mareeba and Mt Carbine. With her wealth of experience and knowledge in the local birding vicinity we were left in awe what the areas have to offer and not just the Buff-Breasted Paradise Kingfishers which stay from November to April. And also to Andrew Iles who gave us an insight into the birds at his garden.
Julatten is about a 90 minutes drive from Cairns along the Cook Highway, turning left after the Port Douglas. Another 10km drive we turn left just before Mossman using the Rex Highway.
