A busy operator and contributor at Tromsoe Airport.
Widerøes Flyveselskap AS was started by five enthusiastic friends in 1934. One of them was Viggo Widerøe. Back then they were located at Ingierstrand outside Oslo, and in the early years their business was taxi, ambulance, school transport services and aerial photo flights.
Today, almost 75 years later, Widerøe has more than 350 daily departures to 41 domestic and international destinations and in excess of 1.9 million passengers annually. We are still small, but that doesn’t stop us from having the biggest domestic route network in Norway.
