Thanks for the nice comments Flick and Tim. This was quit a boulder field and the rock colors and lichens were really noticable. I wish I would have had a Kodak in those days!

Hi Shelby! I like this for a variety of reasons - the colours and shapes are as Flick says, very pretty, but I love the fact that it's not just the beauty of the flowers that hangs out in this apparently barren place, but also the delicacy of colour and lacy form of the lichens. Beauty is out there! Tim

Thanks Albert, these rocks had a wide variety of colors, I tweeked them a little with lab color. As I remember, this was at a fairly high altitude and these flowers were kind of hiding out in these rocks. I was impressed with their tenacity at living under such tough conditions. Shelby
