Hi David, thanks old bean. I'm not sure a darker basckground would not look a little too dark. I might give it a go, but I'm struggling with a HD failure at the moment...Quentin
Wonderfully inventive, Quentin, and skillfully executed. ...I just wonder whether it might be even more effective if the background were darker? ...I would like to see the glow emphasized a bit more. -- DF
Hi Flick, ahh the secrets of my trade...I took the first shot of the bulb turned on in a lampholder (so the glow is genuine), then I removed the bulb and held it in my hand in roughly the same position / distance and shot again with studio lights, and carefully combined the two, fiddled about with the background...took an age but it was quite fun - Quentin
Great, Quenters, and it puts a whole new slant on seeing the light.
How did you take the shot? Is it a composite, did you use a model?
I have a vision of you brandishing the camera one handed and wobbling around, biffing yourself on the nose in the process.
Flick.
