Ahh - so you are a bit of a waays from denver town then - good for you! ;-)

I will need to look up the route you describe here on my road atlas. As a family we loved road trips and free camping (vw van of coarse) - nothing better than to head off with no fixed schedule. I hope i can take you up on that one day. Cheers, adriad.

Hi Adrian,
That is a stretch of road I will need to ride then:) I'm on the western slope and would love to take you on one of my favorite roads for a ride... Colorado 141 from Whitewater thru Gateway to Naturita. What a twisty curvy breathtaking canyon route it is:) Someday eh? - Albert

Hi Gareth,
This is a 2004 FJR1300... a Yamaha:) Cerulean Blue... a marvelous charcoal gray& black color scheme. Before this a CBR929 was in the stable and before that.. your "Pan European" The Honda ST1100 in Black:) - Albert

G'day Albert, i do envy you your colorado location. This shot reminds me of my commute from Bailey to the Tech center - Hwy285, RHT onto Sth Turkey Creek Road, then over the small saddle down Deer Ck Canyon to C470 - one of the best cycle stretches of roads i've yet travelled. I always gave way to beasts like these - love the light and colours here also. Cheers, adrian

Come on then Albert, tell me, what is it? I'm a bit out of touch these days. The pepperpot cans say honda (I'm still hanging on to my CBR1100XX). I'll guess VFR800 or more probably a Pan European ?? Hmmm... used a fisheye ....distorted perspectives... is it a scooter??
Cheers - Gareth.

Well I used put on about 20,000 a year. This one is a 2004 and it's at 5,500 miles now (2 years worth of riding too). I guess it reflects my current priorities:) - Albert

Excellent, Albert! That little change really "cleans" it up, to my eye. BTW...how many miles have you put on that machine? -- DF
Guest 13-Jan-2006 15:58
Thanks David:) I've done just that... and reuploaded... thank you! - Albert

That's a definitely intriguing angle, Albert; I like it a lot. (If it were my shot, I think I'd be tempted to do away with the telephone lines on the left.) -- DF

Ah Albert, this really resonates with me. I sold my great excape machine a few years ago and this reminds me so much of the freedom, the exhilaration, the feeling of flying, the June bug in my helmet at 45 mph, the bee hitting the intersection of my legs at 60 mph :). Your going to sell me another one yet. Plus I like the shot too. Shelby
