Adrian, you've ppd it perfectly to my eye's view. The only possible flaw in the photo is the large, dark bulk of the building lower right (looks like a gasworks), but you could hardly help that being there; though every time i look at this image that bit jars. It's still, though, one of best images I've seen in the last 12 months. i certainly voted for it.
Flick.

What!! Doesn't the E1 have a 'Fireworks' scene mode, then???!! ;-) Seriously, this is very engaging. Giving the London Eye the illusion of being a giant Catherine Wheel firework. Fab stuff! - Nigel

thanks kindly for your comments folks, my initial reaction after seeing this one was to be thrilled to bits, and i do enjoy the drama of it, but as time passes and i revisit it, it doesn't have the 'pop' i usually associate with pics from the e1. methinks this is in large measure to my very basic pp skills. I'd really appreciate any assistance any of you may offer me, even if its to confirm my assessment of this version. cheers, adrian

What an absolutely stonkingly stunningly good shot. As another contestant so accurately observed, you are indeed a b*****d. Happy New Year? For you, maybe - but did you stop to think about the rest of us? ;-) Tim

Game, set, and match. This is an award winner, not just for this competition, but ought to be sellable to press or other agencies. Simply stunning. -- DF
