Ah, to achieve satori so effortlessly! And with the mistaken belief that Zen and yoga are related (Hakuin would be spinning in HIS grave ;-). I see that i must set you a new koan, then you can spread your enlightenment to the rest of us ;-)
I'm sure your father could supply some suitable examples involving goats and chickens, just as an alternative to whatsisname's fauna.

I think he would be spinning in his grave if you implied that his duck-rabbit was just to do with yoga, but i think the tilting of the head is really the main issue there, yes!
one hand clapping makes the same sound as two hands clapping -- it takes two one hands to clap, after all, otherwise the one hand would be waving, not clapping... it's a question of definition that Wittgenstein would get very excited about!

Thanks Shelby. It took a while for people to warm to this image - I suppose it's a bit different.

Oh, go on, write it and post it on the kodak forum - it should keep us all gainfully occupied for ages.
thanks for the perception BTW :-)
Flick.
PS: did you spot the eye? It's obvious to me, but not everyone sees it!

I've got it!!! it's a hole with water!!!... it looked like a weird bit of metal on a stand before - it's amazing how things change when you see what they are... i can't see the weird lump of metal at all anymore!!!
-i didn't like it before, but now it looks great. if i was still studying philosophy i could write an aesthetics essay on how radically an image can change in your estimation when you see what it really is... but i'm not, so i won't!
great stuff -- SS

My first comment. I was going to remove this and replace it with something else as people didn't seem to be getting it.

This object seems to have endless depth, well spotted and well lit Flick. Charles
