Paul - thanks! - main process was simply covert in ACR, layer, convert top layer using Convert to B&W pro, orange filter (I think!) convert bottom layer to B&W using Magenta filter, erase top layer around lips to back some tone to the lips (be careful doing this, flatten, use curves to carefully lighten skin, recolorise eye, pump up eye contrast a bit, etc etc, no need to smooth an 8 year olds skin thankfully :-) - Quentin

Just Wow! I love the way you get your soft feel, yet the focus perfect! If it's not giving to much away, what process did you use? - Regards Paul

I want to say again what an incredible portrait camera the Kodak is. The skin hues on the "staight" shot from which this waa created are perfect - Quentin

Flick, thanks. Yes, the pinky hue it was intentional - Quentin

Lovely composition and full tonal range in the skin. Did you intend the tiny flush of pink on the top lid? I think it adds to the image, which would have been too dead without it. You got the return of colour on the eye just right - not easy to do. Exquisite,,,
Flick.

Many thanks Jono. Mind you, the bribery needed to get William to sit still...:-) - Quentin
