I twas taken early evening. I got there later than I had planned and missed most of the sun I wanted, but there was still enough to kinda get the look I was going for (I would have liked the sky to be a tiny bit brighter). Notice some glare comming off the west windows (to the left of the photo). I was on a sloped path and framed by trees (which I decided not to include in the photo). I exposed for the interior of the library and set WB to incandescent to WB the interior. Couldn't get long and longer to work, but will try again when I get the opportunity. That said, the level of detail is simply amazing. You can see individual books all lined up on the shelves in the original. Taken using the SLR/n with 24-120 VR ISO160 (exif is in the picture for futher details).
Thanks again for everyone's interst in the photo.

Thanks for the comments. Here is a little background on the building:
The library is located at the University of California, San Diego campus. It was designed in the 60's by William Pereira. Towering 8 floors high, it incorporates an extensive subterranean space two floors that extend out beyond the framed area in the photo. This is where I spent countless hours while studying for my undergraduate work in Biochemistry/Cell Biology.
