Commonwealth Games River Show

Part of the opening ceremony was a number of stylised fish on the River Yarra through the centre of Melbourne. They were used for an illuminated water show and left on the river throughout the Games. Each night a show was put on a number of times, to the enjoyment of large crowds each night.
