THE CHARTERTOURISM'S DECLINE, CRETE

In September 2006 I found this area some kilometers outside Chania on the Greek island Crete. 10 years earlier this had been a beautiful touristhotel with bungalows and a private beach. It was driven by a Danish company that got economic trouble and the bank took over the hotel and just let it decline. When I came there it has just been laying there for 10 years and looked almost like a garbage heap. I spent 2 afternoons there in the sunset taking a lot of photos. This series of 22 photos is just a small part of it.

Is this really the price we must pay, not only in money, but in lost nature and spoiled invironment because of our chartertourism??? Is this what we wanna leave after us to the generations coming after us???
I've been traveling around on this Earth for nearly 43 years and my answer is definately NO, NO and NO.
