Le Peloton Tour de Courage August 18th 2007

Stan participated with the Le Peloton cycling group Tour de Courage Cypress Challenge, a fund raiser for BC Cancer Research, on August 18th. Here are some photos of Stan on the ride. Actually, Stan rode twice up the mountain. The first ride was done prior to the race, with his brother-in-law, Jerome, covering the 12 km course up the mountain at a leisurely 51 minutes. Later, he did it again, with the Le Peloton cycling group, with a slightly better time of 49 minutes, about 14.4 km/hour up the mountain. Not bad! To put it in perspective, though, the fastest rider made it up in 30 minutes... averaging about 24 km/hour!
