Ivor, Joseph and Esther Vallance's youngest son, is remembered by his parents, his brother Barry, his extended family in Scotland, Britain and overseas, and his many friends. A brief biography can be found by clicking on the first photograph.
The family writes:
We would encourage anyone reading this and looking at these photographs to leave your first name at the site. This would be to us like lighting a candle. We hope and pray that mankind will win against all forms of cancer. Whenever you are asked to give a donation to aid in this fight, please give whatever you can, and remember Ivor.

I was doing a search on the name, Ivor, when I came across this.
It makes me think twice about how lucky I am to be alive when I see people close to my own age who have passed on.
He looks like someone I would have been friendly with had I known him.
Sorry for your loss.
How many years did I spend coming to your house after school? I remember sitting on the living room floor playing 'thro the wall' with Ivor on the zx80 computer. He also introduced to the album Bat out of Hell by Meat Loaf (which I still like today!) Even though we lost touch when I left Glasgow to go to Manchester he is remembered with only fondness and greatly missed. May his memory live on and the family only see happy occassions from here on.

In memory of my younger brother Ivor charles taken by illiness fought very hard and was part of my life. It sadenes me to know that i do not have him there anymore but will always be in my heart and memories always. I would have really liked him to meet my darling partner donna who he would have got on so well with but sadly did not survive before I met her. "Donna says it was very tragic from what she had heard about it feels sorry for her bartner Barry and his mum and dad Joe and Esther Vallance that he is not hear anymore and in my thoughts to "

Joe & Esther. You have been a great source of strength to me under similar circumstances. Two young people gone from our lives, but not from our hearts, and the world is a poorer place for their passing. May God grant us all courage, peace each day and hope for the future. Shalom. Irene.

I have many fond memories of Ivor and the fun we had growing up. He even used to let me smoke in his room(hanging out the window) play his very protected computer, and generally had a ball as kids do. Such a warm & gentle person who wouldn't hurt a fly, well, maybe my little brother!!
He will be missed. A long life to all the family. Paul Ross & family. Perth, Australia

I never met Ivor, but as a family member I feel I am getting to know him through my correspondance with you. With kind regards, and appreciation for this young man, and how much your family must miss him, Stan Shaw, Vancouver British Columbia, Canada.
