The covered canopy is a godsend for cyclists who need to escape Vancouver rain. Just behind Stan, you can see volleyball nets set up in the center of the oval. As if the track is not interesting enough, the facility is shared by the BC Volleyball Association! As you can imagine, an occasional ball does make it onto the track. Most of the time, the ball bounces harmlessly off, however, it does add a bit of excitement as you are whipping around at the oval.
