On any given Sunday you will find the largest Eagles fan club in the state of Florida (maybe anywhere in the country) meeting at the Wild Wing Cafe in Citrus Park Florida, a suberb of Tampa. With anywhere from 100 to 300 fans gathered to cheer on their Eagles you will be amazed at the excitement in this restaurant. In fact, if you stay outside a couple of minutes you will swear you are seeing the building vibrate from the noise inside! Arriving with my brother, a native Tampan and die hard Bucs fan (we've had season tickets for many years), he was immediately struck by the noise in the building. Having lived the last 30 years in Philly, and knowing the level of enthusiasm in that geat city, I too was surprised by the level of excitement. And with two tables of Steelers fans in attendance my brother couldnt help feeling, and saying..."we better get out of here, there's going to be a riot". Yes, even a 1,000 miles away the Eagle fans maintain their reputation as the loudest, craziest fans in the country. They would make their Philly brothers and sisters proud! And lest anyone think they are all Philly transplants...think again. The last photo is of Mike Wiggins, a native Tampan who has never set foot in Pennsylvania and yet bleeds green. He even has an Eagles tatoo on one calf and the Flyers on the other!
