MONROE, CT - On November 1, the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department held a live structural firefighting exercise at 238 Monroe Turnpike. The training began around 7:00pm, and members of Monroe and Stepney practiced engine and truck company operations which involved stretching attack hoselines and roof ventilation. Many new members were given the opportunity to experience live fire under extremely realistic conditions.
